Combination of properties in polycarbonate such as high transparency, high impact and fracture resistance, high heat resistance, good dimensional stability, good electrical insulation property, readily recyclable, and excellent process ability, has made it a popular choice for customers in many fields and it is an ideal choice for safety and security glazing to suit a wide range of applications.
PC solid sheets, produced by high quality extrusion machines, have both indoor and outdoor applications, while for outdoor applications; a special cap layer of UVPC materials is applied on one or both sides of the sheets.
PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS:
PC solid sheets, in the plain form, are being produced in the following dimensions:
Thickness: 2-12 mm
Max. width: 2050 mm
Standard size: 2050 x 3050 mm / 2050 x 1250 mm
It is also possible to cut the sheets lengthwise or crosswise, but the order should reach to our minimum order level. For more information, please do not hesitate to contact our sales department at: sales@n-aidaplastic.com
PC solid sheets are also being produced in different embossed forms according to the above dimensions.
Both sides of the plain sheets and one side of the embossed sheets are covered with special thermoformable surface protection films, while the film on the UV side of the sheet is printed, showing some guidelines regarding storage and handling of the sheets.
COLORS:
PC solid sheets are being offered in the following colors:
Clear transparent
Opal white
Transparent blue
Transparent green
Transparent bronze
Transparent red
It is also possible to produce any desired color for the client, subject to fulfill our minimum order level. For more information you can contact our sales department at: sales@n-aidaplastic.com

Aida PC solid sheets have very good optical quality and surface finish. They are easy to handle and show an exceptional low and high temperature performance, from -40oC up to +120oC. They have excellent mechanical, thermal and electrical properties. Their impact strength is 250 times more than glass and are almost unbreakable. They have good formability and their recycling is easy. As they are inflammable, they have found wide applications in the construction industry. PC solid sheets are resistant to most of the common solvents and chemicals. The below mentioned table gives a summary of Polycarbonate resistance against different materials:

PC solid sheets are mainly used in glazing applications and provide considerable energy cost savings by preventing heat loss in winter and avoiding entry of heat in summer. The K-value of 5 mm thickness PC solid sheet is 5.16 W/m2 oC which is lower than glass, while the weight is 50% of the same thickness glass. AIDA-PC solid sheets have linear expansion of 0.065 mm/m.?C and during the processing of the AIDA-PC solid sheets with other materials, such as steel or aluminum, these different expansions on heating should be considered. Weight /sqm of PC solid sheets is as follow:
Thickness (mm) | Weight (Kg/ m2) |
2.4 | 2 |
3.6 | 3 |
4.8 | 4 |
6.0 | 5 |
9.6 | 8 |
14.4 | 12 |
PC solid sheets can be processed in different manners such as drilling, tapping, sawing, welding and have different forming techniques like drape forming, pressure-bubble plug-assist and vacuum forming.
